Carnival comes to The Belfry!
Wednesday 13 May 2009A taste of the Caribbean came to the Belfry Shopping Centre on Saturday 13th June as the popular centre joined in all the fun of the Redhill Carnival Weekend.
The Belfry was transformed into an exotic tropical destination for the day, full of free carnival-themed events for people of all ages to enjoy. Entertainment included live music from the spectacular Caribana Steel Band, Caribbean dancers, circus acts, salsa shows and a host of other performers to put shoppers in a sunny mood. Visitors will even got the chance to see how low they could go by joining in the limbo!
“We are delighted to support this wonderful weekend event in Redhill, which is a real celebration of the cultural, ethnic and generational diversity of our local community,” said Centre Manager, Richard Cowlard.
