Fantastic Easter fun at The Belfry!
Friday 27 March 2009
The Belfry Shopping Centre organised some great, free activities for children this Easter.
Hundreds of children joined in Ding’s free Easter egg hunt in the hope of winning a tasty Easter egg! The lucky winners were:
5 and under - Caitlin Mahoney from Redhill
6 - 8 years - Shakira Zghari Sales from Coulsdon
9 - 11 years - Megan Wise from Reigate
There was a variety of creative workshops that children could take part in, including Easter card making, ceramic painting, egg decorating and Easter bonnet workshops.
Children who took part in the Easter bonnet workshop could then join in the bonnet parade to show off what they had made. Congratulations to Katherine Bailey from Charlwood who won first place for her Easter bonnet! And well done to Jack Tickner of Redhill and Jade Kennelly of Redhill who won 2nd and 3rd place for their fantastic bonnets! All of the other children in the parade were given a great Ding toy for joining in and showing off their brilliant bonnets!
As well as all of these fab activities there was also free face painting and a visit from Professor Crump who wowed the crowds with his magic and mayhem!
To top it all off the winners of Ding's Easter colouring competition were chosen and out of the many entries that were handed in the following lucky children won a special Easter egg:
5 and under - Jliette Ferrand from South Nutfield and Zack Hammond from Redhill
6 - 8 years - Mia Thomas-Mitchell from Redhill and Luke Moore from Coulsdon
9 - 11 years - Hannah Belok from Oxted and Josh Bailey from Reigate
